What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Clarion Technologies?
Responsible for management of all related activity within corporate guidelines, including: Managing MRP requirements, effective communication of orders to suppliers, managing all performance issues with suppliers, and
full responsibility for inventory accuracy of all assigned materials.
Essential functions:
Purchasing of all MRP requirements of scheduled product, using ERP system MRP utilities and reports.
Purchasing of all MRO purchase order requisitions following documented process.
Manage inbound transportation.
Maintain Premium Freight log with approved cost associated with supplier expedites.
Upload purchasing/receiving documents into OnBase system.
Analyze data to establish/adjust minimum and MOQ quantities on MRP items.
Initiate and complete cycle count activities as needed.
Participate in physical inventory activities.
Manage suppliers, including activities related to non-compliant material.
Handle all NCMRs for purchased items, parts, and outside services.
Establish and maintain raw material set up forms and price revisions.
Maintain SDS files.
Additional responsibilities:
As needed, enter ERP system receivers for delivered product, except for corporate generated POs.
Assist warehousing activities by communicating storage needs for raw materials.
Responsible for providing statement of work for all outsourced processes.
As needed, perform receiving inspection requirements ensuring the product delivered has an active PO.
Understand, support, and maintain supplier directed purchases.
Complete and submit forms to establish/maintain accurate vendor information.
Adjust on hand inventories within value limits established by management.
Follow process for selecting/approving supplies and perform quarterly analysis with management.
Identify coverage, support training, and support cross training activity for other positions in your team.
Support Launch team. (Supplier PPAP activity, get quotes, find alt. material, establishing new materials.)
Assist in maintaining drawing/part revision levels in ERP system for purchased items.
Ensure all required documentation has been received and entered for IMDS data.
Premium Freight Inventory Turns / Dollars
Participate and lead, as needed, in internal problem solving/improvement activities.
Other Requirements:
Minimum of High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Proficient use of computers and computer operation within a network.
3-5 years’ experience in plant material functions.
Read, interpret, and develop documents - safety rules, operating instructions, system documentation.
Ability to communicate with all customers and all levels of employees effectively and professionally.
Perform basic math functions, common fractions, decimals, and ability to apply concepts of Algebra.
Ability to apply logic to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
High degree of Analytical ability.
Salary : $55,000 - $80,000
