What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Clarios?
What you will do
As the Human Resources Generalist, you will ensure the company’s culture is considered in all actions, decisions, and interaction in which you are involved, and continually look for opportunities to improve process which provide better results for the employees, managers, and the company overall.
This role requires onsite presence at the Clarios St. Joseph Facility to fulfill job responsibilities.
How you will do it
- Cultivate trusted relationships with employees to support a sustainable culture rooted in mutual respect, transparency, and trust
- Conduct timely, thorough, and objective employee relations investigations. Facilitate resolution discussions and provide clear, factual summaries of findings
- Communicate investigative outcomes professionally and respectfully to all parties involved
- Assist with time & attendance accountability efforts by preparing relevant coaching and disciplinary documentation
- Apply a working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to address labor-related matters, ensuring consistency and compliance with union protocols
- Serves as onsite support to grievance processes
- Assist with talent acquisition support including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and new hire events, as needed
- Ensure confidentiality of team member information and secure handling of sensitive HR data
- Identify and address opportunities to improve workplace culture, morale, and retention
- Lead or participate in HR initiatives to streamline processes through research, data analysis and process improvement recommendations
What we look for
- 3 years of Human Resources experience specializing in Employee Relations and/or Labor Relations or equivalent required
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures, including collective bargaining provisions required
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to think and write analytically required
- Strong organization and time management skills, and ability to maintain thorough and accurate records while meeting tight deadlines
- Positive, team-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic environment with flexibility to assist with special projects during high demand and based on operational needs
- Flexibility to periodically work alternate shifts if needed to support 24/7 operations.
