What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Manager position at Clarity Care Inc?
The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the vehicle fleet for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal. The Fleet Manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED OUTCOMES:
- Grow and expand Fleet Management program to achieve strategic objectives set by Executive team.
- Monitor GPS tracking system; analyze movement, type of vehicle, need etc.
- Monitor driver behavior to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Organize, maintain and manage fleet with check in/out process and expand for all departments.
- Perform fleet vehicle inspections.
- Hire, lead and coordinate drivers in all locations.
- Monitor employee mileage and determine if there is a fleet vehicle needed.
- Rotate vehicles to ensure vehicle is appropriate for that program and the needs of the Members.
- Schedule regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Update and maintain the vehicle database.
- Establish efficient routes and transportation schedules to manage budget.
- Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet projects.
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.
- Manage vehicle licensure and registration.
- Manage the purchasing and removal of new and old vehicles in the fleet.
- Assist with purchasing and dispose of vehicles to expand and/or enhance the quality of the fleet.
- Research, implement, and maintain scheduling software for vehicle fleet.
- Train new Employees on vehicle safety, specifically wheelchair vehicle safety.
- Assist with appointments, errands, drop offs as requested by departments of Clarity Care.
- Comply with Department of Transportation laws and regulations.
- Assist with being a backup Driver as needed.
