Backend Engineer (Start-Up)

A seed start up is looking for a Backend Engineer to join their team in New York

Ideal Candidate:

• 5 years building scalable systems that can process hundreds of thousands of users, posts, and experiences. You know how to design data models, work with large datasets, and leverage cloud infra to achieve our goals.
• Thrive on action and impact: You make technical decisions for the impact that they deliver to our users, and focus on impact rather than technical perfection
• You understand user needs an use this insight to drive product development in a way that delights both users and the business.

Ideal Requirements

• Experience scaling MongoDB to 1m users
• Proficient in React, Typescript, Node.js, Express
• Experience building out payment rails (Stripe, crypto, IAP)
• Experience running oncall systems to maintain uptime
• Previous startup experience a plus
• Frontend React experience a plus
• Bonus: Experience with Parse.js
