CONSTRUCTION INTERNSHIP
Clark Construction Inc., headquartered in Kitsap County is one of the Puget Sound region’s premier construction firms. Our team of highly skilled construction professionals brings experience in an impressive range of projects, of every scale, from home remodels to multimillion-dollar commercial projects. Our Project Leadership Teams organizational structure allows for the detailed allocation of duties and responsibilities for each member of the team. Interns will participate in that structure and be assigned to a Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Superintendent to assist in the duties of that Team member.
The Intern candidate must be team-oriented, able to work with a variety of staff, willingness to learn, self-directed and goal oriented. Duties expected to be performed will be in an office environment as well as field environment:
- Review and understand plans, specifications and contracts for an assigned project
- Complete quantity takeoffs, compilation, review an evaluation of materials, and the procurement of those materials
- Help in preparing, reviewing and tracking Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, subcontractor documentation, and budgets
- Assist Project Manager & Project Engineer with electronic documentation
- Assist Field Superintendent with structure layout and elevation control, monitoring subcontractor work operations, participate in site safety walks, online documentation of field observations, assist with writing work plans for self-preformed work
Required skills include currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, problem- solving, organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, & Outlook are Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Bluebeam and Procore would be a plus.
Dependable transportation to any/all job sites is required. Hourly rate $24-$26 per hour DOE.
