Job Description
The Superintendent is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on a construction site which includes overseeing the construction crew and trade partners, supervising site safety, coordinating construction materials, and making sure the project stays on schedule. The Superintendent works with the Project Manager to schedule subcontractors and suppliers and to ensure that all contractual responsibilities are met in a timely and safe manner. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills to be able to document changes and clarifications for ownership, the design team, and the construction team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Arrive at jobsite ahead of crew (30 - 60 minutes before the start time) and ensure the jobsite is ready for the crew to start work on time
- Manage and plan all aspects of construction site
- Coordinate budgeting and forecast with the Project Manager
- Order all materials needed for the job and ensure that materials are on-site in a timely manner; make sure materials are protected and secure
- Supervise safety on site, including directing weekly safety meetings and completing safety reports
- Manage, schedule, coordinate, and motivate subcontractors and vendors
- Review all field work, provide QA/QC reports
- Supervise and control all operations on the site
- Update and communicate the project schedule to the construction team on a continuous basis
- Plan, schedule, organize, and supervise all CCI field crews on site
- Ensure that sufficient cellular and/or Wi-Fi service is available on site to use the cloud based Procore system
- Notify and communicate all information necessary to document changes, added work, clarifications, and questions to ownership, design team, and construction team through Procore
- Ensure the safe, timely, and accurate completion of the project
- Review and comment on all RFP and subcontract scopes of work
- Review plans, specs, and any other contract documents
- Provide detailed questions and clarifications
- Plan weeks ahead of actual work
- Make accurate estimates
- Create detailed and accurate logistics plan for entire scope of projects
- Create a workable schedule in a timely manner for Project Manager to bid and contract the work
- Create and distribute work plans for all operations
- Maintain a minimum of 40 billable hours per week
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Two or more years of experience

- Strong communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Procore
- Valid Drivers License and dependable transportation
- Smart Phone and/or Tablet skills to use Procore app

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position, requiring occasional evening and weekend work. The annual salary for this position is $105,000 $165,000 DOE. Clark Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Paid Time Off: 80 hours per calendar year of paid time off (PTO) for sick, vacation, and personal time.

Insurance: Employees are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance on their rst day of work. We offer two options for health care insurance and pay 100% of the employees monthly premium for either option. Health care insurance is available for spouses and dependent(s); however, the employee is responsible for 50% of the premium for his/her spouse and dependent(s). Additional supplemental insurance benefits including Hospital Indemnity, Accident, Critical Illness, Life and AD&D Insurance may be purchased through CCIs policy with The Hartford at your own expense.
401K: CCI has a 401K program to assist employees in saving for retirement. Employees are eligible to designate how much they would like to contribute to their 401K account starting their rst day of work. CCI offers a 401k match program, matching up to 4% of the employee's annual pay.
Bonuses: Bonuses, such as performance or project-based bonuses, may be distributed throughout the year.
Cell Stipend: You are eligible to receive a $500/year cell phone stipend, paid quarterly at the end of each quarter. You must be employed during the entire quarter to be eligible for that period.
