Weekend Homeless Night Manager

The Night Manager is responsible for the overall operation and safety of the homeless shelter during the overnight hours. This role involves coordinating staff, ensuring the well-being of residents, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resident Care:
• Ensure the safety and well-being of shelter residents.
• Address immediate needs and concerns.
• Facilitate conflict resolution.
• Coordinate with social workers and other service providers.
• Facility Management:
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Inspect the facility for safety hazards.
• Implement security measures to protect the shelter and its residents.
• Data Collection:
• Collect and record necessary data, such as resident counts and incident reports.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports.
• Emergency Response:
• Develop and implement emergency procedures.
• Respond to crises as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with homeless individuals or in a social services setting desired.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Evening and night shifts 9:00PM-5:00AM .
• Position is for two nights a week and substitute.
• Exposure to potentially challenging situations and individuals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.79 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
