My client, a comprehensive telecommunications service solutions organization, is looking for a talented Construction Controller.
Will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including managing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance, while providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions related to network deployment, customer acquisition, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to management regarding operational performance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the their industry, such as network utilization, customer churn, and project costs.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage comprehensive operating budgets for various departments, including network construction, sales, and customer service.
Conduct regular budget reviews and forecasts to identify areas for cost optimization and potential revenue growth opportunities.
Project Accounting Oversight:
• Oversee all aspects of project accounting, including:
• Preparing and tracking monthly requisitions to project owners.
• Participating in project forecast updates (CTC/WIP) with Project Managers and Estimators.
• Monitoring and addressing over/under billings in collaboration with Project Managers and Estimators.
• Identifying and mitigating risks on high-risk projects by collaborating with project management.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
Monitor compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Accounting Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Manage and develop a team of accountants, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting.
Project Finance and Capital Expenditures:
Analyze the financial implications of new network deployment projects, including capital expenditure (CapEx) requirements and potential return on investment.
Track project costs and performance against budget to ensure efficient capital allocation.
Strategic Financial Support:
Collaborate with business leaders to develop strategic financial plans, including pricing strategies, customer acquisition initiatives, and market expansion opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Extensive experience in accounting and financial analysis, preferably within the Construction space
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in financial software and systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Salary : $185,000 - $200,000
