We currently have an opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to join our municipal engineering team as Project Manager based out of our Wausau, WI office. The selected candidate will manage civil engineering projects and oversee planning, design, and construction services for clients throughout North Central Wisconsin.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to join our municipal engineering team as Project Manager based out of our Wausau, WI office. The selected candidate will manage civil engineering projects and oversee planning, design, and construction services for clients throughout North Central Wisconsin.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identifies and pursues projects and develops relationships with existing clients and prospects.
- Develops project approach, schedule and budget; negotiates scope and fee and any contract amendments with client.
- Assists clients with identifying and applying for funding and obtaining necessary permits at the local, state and federal levels.
- Develops high level design criteria and project work plan (PWP).
- Leads the project team and coordinates/manages tasks with other engineers, designers and construction staff.
- Conducts project team coordination meetings and serves as the point of contact for the client on all project related matters; insures QA/AC processes are implemented.
- Accountable for project performance and project deliverables; manages scope creep and takes corrective action as needed.
- B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and WI PE license are required.
- 5 years of broad based experience as a civil engineer with a focus on municipal engineering.
- 4 years of project and client management experience.
- Experience with the planning, design and construction of local roads, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage projects.
- Experience with project management functions including project scoping, schedule, budget development and QA/QC.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop client relationships, market new business, make public presentations and write technical reports.
- Knowledgeable with civil/environmental design and modeling tools including one or more of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, ORD, Arc GIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, XP-SWMM.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client and project sites as needed.
