We currently have an opportunity for an Ecologist / NEPA Specialist to join our Transportation Team in Indiana. Responsibilities include leading investigations and research in compliance with NEPA to support federally funded INDOT and local infrastructure projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares NEPA documents for a variety of projects ranging from minor programmatic projects to complex Categorical Exclusions.[PWD1]
- Performs ecological investigations and wetland delineations for project sites.
- Analyzes field data to prepare wetland delineation reports and appropriate waterway permits (e.g., Section 401 / 404 permits, Construction in a Floodway permits, other state / local permits in Indiana).
- Assists Project Managers to develop scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team (Project Managers, Engineers, Historians) to coordinate tasks and deliverables.
- Communicates and coordinates potential risks and solutions with Project Managers.
