- Greet and register patients by collecting pertinent information and accurately inputting data into the system.
- Communicate with payers to pre-authorize and financially screen clinical and outpatient procedures.
- Collect payments from patients at the time of service and coordinate with financial specialists as needed.
- Prepare daily provider schedules and statistical reports as required.
- Schedule appointments, including walk-ins, to ensure efficient patient and provider flow.
- Manage incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate staff, and take and deliver messages.
- Process medical record requests, maintain a log of copies made, and send records as requested.
- Perform general office duties, including ordering supplies and managing work areas.
