Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Freshwater Boat Salesperson to join our team in Manchester, Maine. This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of sales experience and a passion for boating (bonus if you’re an experienced boater!). The ideal candidate is proactive, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in finding the right boat to meet their needs and lifestyle.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized service and follow-up.
- Provide detailed information about boat features, specifications, and pricing.
- Manage incoming leads, including responding to inquiries promptly—even outside regular business hours.
- Participate in all dealership events, including boat shows, open houses, and community outreach activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales area.
- Collaborate with the service and parts departments to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, inventory, and industry trends.
Schedule:
- Regular hours: Tuesday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Flexibility to work additional hours for events and lead follow-ups is required.
Compensation:
- $20/hour plus commission. Earning potential is uncapped and tied to performance.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of sales experience (preferably in retail, automotive, or marine sales).
- Passion for boating is a strong plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work weekends, special events, and follow up on leads after hours.
- Familiarity with boats and marine equipment is a bonus.
