What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Marketing Analyst position at CLARK Material Handling Company?
The Business Marketing Analyst will be responsible for the company’s strategic business analysis initiatives that will provide business intelligence to identify new commercial opportunities, align strategic goals with targeted sales and marketing campaigns, supported by back-end metrics and performance analytics. Provide insight, recommendations, and direction on identified areas of opportunity for increased growth and market penetration.
Essential Functions:
Perform market research to provide the company with both tactical and strategic insight that identifies business opportunities and threats (both traditional and developing)
Evaluate market penetration by dealer, SIC code, industry type, ITA, WITS and routinely report on the opportunities and threats
Assist in identifying new market opportunities and providing narrative and an action plan to support the initiative
Analyze competitors and create a database to document dealer networks, market penetration, market share, new products, parts programs, etc.,
Create databases with captured market data for both CLARK and competitive brands
Conduct research and regularly report on information from material handling industry associations
Analyze data to determine effectiveness of marketing promotions and provide recommendations for improvement
Monitor dealer and market behaviors to provide recommendations to increase sales penetration
Prepare and present research data and recommendations to leadership
Identify databases and resources that the company has or may need to acquire, to better manage the business and continually update and monitor these databases
Represent North America, on a collaborative companywide team with members from each CLARK global region and across functions charged to conduct Global Marketing Research Global promotion activity.
Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development, partnerships, etc.) and bring insights based on data analysis for company growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in analytical fields that relates with sales and marketing and or business intelligence.
In depth understanding of market research methods and analysis preferably in the material handling industry
In depth understanding of market research methods and analysis with researcher mindset with experience in gathering / reporting competitive intelligence, insights, and market research.
Ability to conduct Market research to present data to the organization to identify trends, deficits, identifying areas of strength, weakness, and opportunity.
High standards and sense of integrity, one who makes and keeps commitments
Thrives on change and is constantly looking for new ways of doing things that improve on the status quo.
High energy, can-do person who can operate in a fast moving, managed chaos environment.
Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, outstanding project and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and relational skills.
Must have advanced Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)skills
Must have excellent mathematical skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship. As a global role, must have a valid passport and capacity for semi-regular overseas travel.
