What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Harvest Tech position at Clark NMSD, LLC?
Employees in this position are responsible for trimming and packaging marijuana while creating minimal waste, resulting in a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for sale or processing. The right candidate demonstrates proficiency, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Employees must be resourceful and able to work both independently and with a team.
Duties:
- Hand trim flower from marijuana plants in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring a quality product
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Sit for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming, as well as post trim upkeep.
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch, in addition to usable by-products.
- Demonstrate proficiency with weights, measurements, and math.
- Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the cultivation center.
- Assure daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.

- Must be able to perform similar tasks for long periods of time.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and operating industry equipment following specific instructions.
- Performing tasks following SOP guidelines and instructions
- Harvest responsibilities include harvesting wet plants in grow room, removing wet leaves, cleaning the environment between strains, and cleaning up after the harvest is complete.
- Trimming responsibilities include removing buds from stems, checking product for quality assurance, operating trimmer, etc.
- Packaging responsibilities include weighing and packaging cannabis flower, processing material into pre rolls, packaging vape cartridges, shatter, and various topical products.
- When trimming and packaging cannabis, employees must be able to identify useable and unusable material.
- Employees must be able to work well as a team day in and day out, but also must be able to work on their own if necessary.
- Employees should have basic knowledge of cannabis and cannabis plants and must be able to dynamically adjust their packaging/trimming methods depending on the strain.
- Employees should be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Operate with integrity and honesty.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the medical cannabis industry desired.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain a state issued cultivation badge, which includes passing a background check free of felony convictions.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures a plus
- Computer, mathematics, language, and reasoning skills
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale.
- Must have the ability to focus on a task for long periods of time and have strong attention to detail.
- Must possess the physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required including sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms.
- Previous grow/laborer/cannabis experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Knowledge of different strains and their unique growing demands
- Ability to execute techniques consistently.
- Good documentation, inventory, and organization skills
- Ability to work with a team and a have goal-oriented mindset.
