What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Harvest Tech position at Cultivation?
Flex Post-Harvest Technicians are responsible for executing post-harvest operational tasks delegated by Post-Harvest Managers and/or Leads. The primary focus for Flex Post-Harvest Technicians is post-harvest operations, including preparing the packaging materials, plant processing, trimming, and the packaging of usable, high quality Flower. Post-Harvest Technicians will routinely perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time. The position will also require occasional support in cultivation operations, including planting, defoliating, and harvesting. Additionally, Flex Post-Harvest Technicians are expected to carry supplies and equipment, assist with the facility's sanitation operations, cleaning of tools/equipment, and provide manual labor services as needed. Adaptability is an essential aspect of the Flex Post-Harvest Technician’s position. The department is structured to allow for development and growth; employees may be eligible for advancement dependent upon skills and performance.

- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently according to policies and procedures
- Clean tools and equipment as scheduled or required
- Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
- Pick up refuse in areas as required
- Dispose of garbage according to compliant procedures
- Implement all sanitation procedures such as area sanitation, and equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Perform trimming operations such as plant processing and hand-trimming
- Perform packaging operations such as weighing usable flower and trim, packing, labeling, finished goods tracking, and area decontamination
- Ensure aesthetic appeal and high quality of Silver State Wellness products
- Maintain and ensure compliance with packaging schedule
- Report all quality control issues during post-harvest to the supervisor immediately
- Follow GMP protocols and follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs)
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Technical Certification preferred
- Preferred nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must possess communication proficiency
- Must possess time management skills
- Must be self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must be able to work efficiently and accurately

Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration
- The facility employs high-powered fans for ventilation and the sound levels will be higher than
- normal consistently when in the cultivation rooms
- Entails working with fertilization and cleaning chemicals and will come into contact with fumes from those chemicals from time to time
