Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Cleaning Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness at a veterinary clinic in Virginia Beach. This role involves sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, and ensuring a hygienic environment for staff, clients, and animals. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This position works Monday. Wednesday, and Friday from 3 Pm until 5-6 PM. The cleaning technician will work approximately 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors.
- Wipe down tables, counters, and high-touch surfaces
- Execute industrial cleaning procedures in compliance with safety regulations.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and partitions
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and wipe down bins as needed
- Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments efficiently and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Clean glass doors and spot-clean interior windows
- Sanitize door handles, light switches, and other high-contact areas
- Follow all company cleaning procedures and safety standards, including OSHA guidelines
Experience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with animals
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical cleaning tasks (bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
