Job Title: Part-Time Evening Cleaning Technician (Floater)
Reports To: Site/Area Supervisor
Department: Commercial Operations Department
The Floater Cleaning Technician will perform a variety of cleaning tasks at multiple locations within Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Norfolk, VA. This role offers $13.00 - $15.00 per hour and requires a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation. Floaters will fill in where needed, ensuring assigned commercial areas are cleaned to company and OSHA standards. Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive attitude are key for success in this role.
Essential Functions:
1. Follow cleaning requirements and schedules for assigned areas.
2. Travel between locations based on staffing needs and assignment requirements.
3. Operate cleaning equipment and use products such as vacuums, mops, and microfiber cloths.
4. Perform daily, weekly, or periodic cleaning tasks, including:
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
- Emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Cleaning vertical surfaces, interior glass, chrome, and stainless steel fixtures.
5. Maintain safety standards and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
6. Respond promptly to site work orders and follow company procedures.
Job Description:
- Work inside various commercial settings, including offices, medical facilities, and schools.
- Take out trash as needed, regardless of weather conditions.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and standing for the entire shift.
- Be available for variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and possibly select holidays.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience in Commercial cleaning (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation (required).
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, and perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Able to work shifts on short notice
