What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Senior Network Engineer AMI-OT position at Clark Public Utilities?
WHAT YOU WOULD DO :
- Develop recommendations and work collaboratively to implement network solutions for Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) network infrastructure.
- Configure and optimize AMI network components as well as backhaul communications components such as routers, switches, and modems to ensure security and optimal performance.
- Integrate AMI network solutions with existing utility infrastructure.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to AMI network hardware and software. Collaborate with field technicians and IT staff to resolve AMI network related issues.
- Implement network security protocols to protect AMI and Operations Technology (OT) systems. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Analyze network data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate key performance metrics on network performance, reliability and security.
- Participate in AMI network deployment projects. Coordinate with vendor and suppliers for equipment and service procurement.
This full-time position reports to the Business Systems Manager and is located at the Operations Center.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field; or equivalent education and certification with demonstrated experience in networking and networking security at the CCNP level. Strong technical knowledge and experience with microwave radios, security, and troubleshooting. Strong technical knowledge and awareness of all areas of Information Technology. Proficiency in project management tools, collaboration platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Advance Meter Infrastructure (AMI) and Industrial Communication Systems / Supervisory Communication and Data Acquisition (SCADA) networks preferred.

SALARY :
Clark Public Utilities' salary ranges are market based and established annually. With full competency in the role and satisfactory performance the target is midpoint within the established range.
