Essential Functions Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels. Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists withperformance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Clark in all interactions with staff, visitors, and the community. Communicates expectations set forth by directors to serve as a link between administration and staff nurses in the absence of the director Communication is expected to be effective and efficient within the organization, frequent rounding to all units while promoting leadership service excellence

Job Requirements Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree RequiredBachelors degree Preferred Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) 30 daysAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) 30 daysPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) 30 daysNeonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) 30 daysHandle with care or equivalent within 90 daysTNCC preferredENPC preferredSpecialty certification preferredBLS ACLS PALS TNCC instructors preferred Licenses : Valid current Kentucky RN state licensureKentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure required
