Job Opening – CEO with Cove Federal Credit Union in Edgewood, KY
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cove Federal Credit Union.
About the Role
The CEO will be accountable to the Board for the efficient and effective operation of the credit union, ensuring financial stability and member satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Directing all credit union operations, including planning and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures.
- Providing strategic and administrative direction and management in all functional areas, including accounting, ALM, business development, compliance, facility management, finance, human resources, investments, lending, marketing, operations, risk management, and security.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the credit union and establishing office procedures to utilize staff and facilities efficiently, promote products and services, provide outstanding member service, and achieve the goals of the credit union.
- Developing, recommending, and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other applicable state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Evaluating the job performance of credit union management to ensure quality service to members and adherence to all applicable regulations.
- Maintaining oversight of credit union financial performance against the Board-approved budget.
- Conducting business development activities to promote the growth and development of the credit union and building positive relationships with the membership.
- Providing direction to the Board on compensation and benefits philosophy and planning and recommending appropriate wage and salary structure in accordance with the philosophy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a business-related field; required.
- Advanced degree; preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years financial institution management experience.
- Relative experience working with regulatory examiners and auditors.
- In-depth consumer and mortgage lending knowledge and experience.
- Working knowledge of Board governance.
