SUMMARY
The job of an Operations Facilitator is established for the purposes of providing support to the operations of the facility with the focus on the purchase/receiving of good and services while maintaining inventory levels; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; managing aged inventory throughout the facility; and filling in for scheduling/MRP as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates with maintenance department on parts, equipment, and services needed in the facility.
- Coordinates and manages the purchase, receiving and inventory of a wide variety of operations parts, equipment, tools, and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
- Coordinates minor and/or routine upkeep and repair of maintenance department equipment and tools as needed for the purpose of ensuring that items are maintained in a safe and effective working order and are available to department staff when needed.
- Processes order requests, documents, and deliveries and/or materials logs for the purpose of disseminating information and/or ensuring that materials are accurately received by appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct. Research discrepancies on orders and/or invoices (e.g. overages, shortages, duplicate deliveries, etc.) for the purpose of correcting errors and/or returning damaged/incorrect items to vendors.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external services for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the invoices, billing, status of deliveries, etc.
- Coordinates and maintains plant logs for Audits, Inspections, and inventories
- Supports department administration and staff as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the work force and meeting department and operations requirements.
- Maintains data and records within computerized ERP Management System.
- Coordination with processing and shipping to facilitate in the tracking and auditing of finished/raw material throughout the facility.
- Evaluate orders in the ERP system to find opportunities the moving of aged raw and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Work with Scheduling and MRP to gain working knowledge allowing the opportunity to fill in when necessary to schedule orders mills and/or slitting set-ups.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Technical knowledge of manufacturing environment
- Ability to interactive with all levels within and outside of the organization
- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Working knowledge of Part Numbers, Coatings, Gauges, etc.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent Microsoft skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work in and navigate through ERP Systems (Profit, etc.)
- Ability to resolve problems
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated
- Mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, converting fractions into decimals
