Are you passionate about helping students access financial aid and achieve their academic goals? Clarke University is seeking a detail-oriented Project Specialist to join our Financial Aid Office. This position plays a critical role in assisting students and families with the financial aid process, ensuring they receive all eligible funding in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel students and families on FAFSA filing and loan processes.
- Partner with Admissions Communications and Marketing for financial aid-related event planning.
- Manage outreach initiatives, including FAFSA completion and scholarship promotion.
- Oversee importing ISIRs, verification processes, and financial aid packaging in Datatel Colleague.
- Process incoming student documentation and follow up on missing information.
- Maintain and distribute financial aid awards and outside scholarships.
- Train and oversee student employees in customer service and administrative tasks.
- Coordinate Federal Work-Study communications, hiring paperwork, and supervisor training.
- Plan and oversee financial aid events and payment plan outreach efforts.
- Review and process student records for those who decide not to attend (Non-Commit List).
- Assist with front desk service coverage, including FAFSA assistance and payment processing.
- Generate financial aid award letters and oversee the Financial Aid Ticket System.
Qualifications:
- Minimum four years of administrative office or related business experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Datatel Colleague preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's degree preferred.
