Office Manager – Clarksville Animal Clinic
Clarksville, Tennessee
Are you looking for more than just a job? Do you want to be part of a workplace where your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and you’re surrounded by a team that truly enjoys working together?
At Clarksville Animal Clinic, we’ve built something special — a small, privately owned veterinary practice where compassion, connection, and teamwork guide everything we do. We're a one-doctor clinic with big goals, and as we grow, we’re looking for someone equally passionate to help lead the way.
We're located in Clarksville, TN, just a short drive from Nashville and close to incredible outdoor spots like Land Between the Lakes and Montgomery Bell State Park. Whether you love city adventures or peaceful hikes, there’s something here for you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:

- Weekends off – We value your work-life balance.
- Competitive pay – $23–$30/hour, based on experience.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance – Because your well-being matters.
- Generous paid time off – Including holidays, birthdays, and even wedding anniversaries.
- Bonuses – Monthly performance bonuses and annual work anniversary bonuses.
- Employee discounts – Take great care of your own pets, too.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be a key part of our leadership team, helping to create a smooth, positive experience for both our clients and our staff. Your role will be a blend of HR management, operations, and people-first leadership.
Your responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership & HR:
- Hiring, onboarding, and training new team members (mainly front desk roles)
- Creating a positive, respectful, and growth-minded work culture
- Leading team meetings and employee check-ins
- Collaborating with our Head Technician to support the clinical team
- Managing employee schedules and resolving conflicts professionally
- Keeping the practice owner informed on staff needs and team dynamics
Inventory Oversight:
- Keeping us well-stocked without over-ordering
- Submitting controlled drug reports to the state
- Maintaining accurate records and pricing in our system (Covetrus Pulse)
- Troubleshooting occasional tech and payment processing issues
Client Experience:
- Ensuring every client feels welcomed and cared for
- Helping resolve concerns and maintain high client satisfaction.
- Contributing ideas to help grow the business and build long-term client relationships
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Managing clinic emails, filing, and reporting
- Collaborating on monthly goals, specials, and promotions with the practice owner
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years of experience in the veterinary field or a related industry
- Previous management or leadership experience is a big plus
- Business or HR training is helpful but not required
- A strong communicator with excellent organizational skills
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative, people-first environment
- Familiarity with Covetrus Pulse is a bonus, but we can teach you if not
