Full Job Description

Export / Import Company looking for experienced CDL Class A drivers for Houston, Texas area container and break-bulk transports to and from local ports. Pay rate of $24.00 to $25.50 per hour Bonuses.

• Duties:
• Flat bed and container drayage experience required
• Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery
• Ensure all cargo is secure and properly loaded for transportation
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  
  

Skills

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
• Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to navigate routes using GPS or other navigation systems
• Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Tanker endorsement preferred
• Heavy haul and/or out-of-gauge experience a plus (RGNs, step deck trailers, etc)
• TWIC strongly preferred or able to obtain TWIC
• Legal to work in the US
• Clean background check
• Must pass pre-employment and continuing employment drug screening as required by DOT
