Full job description :
Export / Import Company looking for experienced CDL Class A drivers for Houston, Texas area container and break-bulk transports to and from local ports. Pay rate of $24.00 to $25.50 per hour Bonuses .
Duties :
Flat bed and container drayage experience required
Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery
Ensure all cargo is secure and properly loaded for transportation
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Skills :
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record
Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Ability to navigate routes using GPS or other navigation systems
Hazmat endorsement preferred
Tanker endorsement preferred
Heavy haul and / or out-of-gauge experience a plus (RGNs, step deck trailers, etc)
TWIC strongly preferred or able to obtain TWIC
Legal to work in the US
Clean background check
Must pass pre-employment and continuing employment drug screening as required by DOT
