We are seeking a skilled Remodeling Professional to join our talented team as a team leader (otherwise known as lead carpenter).
Job Summary
As a Remodeling Professional/Team Lead at Classic Home Advisors, you will play a pivotal role in residential remodeling projects. You will collaborate with a team of skilled & experienced employees & trade partners to execute high-quality remodeling work that meets client expectations and project timelines. In addition to general construction tasks like carpentry, tile, or demo, you will also be responsible for daily reports on work completed that day, performing walkthroughs with homeowners as needed, and maintaining job site compliance in terms of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of remodeling tasks, including installation, repair, and finishing of interior and exterior residential projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute remodeling projects efficiently.
- Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and provide input on designs as needed.
- Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist with tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, tiling, drywall installation, painting, and/or plumbing & electrical fixture repair/replacements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Perform cabinet installation and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Build and construct various structures as per project requirements.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate project timelines and material needs to Project mangers & office staff
- Execute work safely and efficiently, following all relevant codes.
- Utilize power tools effectively for various remodeling tasks.
- Manage the on-site duties of projects from start to finish, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Install drywall, ensuring smooth finishes and proper insulation where necessary.
- Hang doors with precision, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Restore existing structures or features to enhance the overall aesthetic of the space
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Positive, solution minded, can-do attitude
- Ability to lead 2-3 men through a remodel while maintaining a professional, positive environment.
- Proven experience in residential remodeling, including installations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Familiarity with a wide range of tools, equipment, and materials used in remodeling.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have basic tools to perform the majority of remodeling and building tasks.
Preferred (but not required) Skills & Experience:
- Experience using project management software such as BuilderTrend
- Experience building additions, homes, or decks, especially from the early stages of foundation & framing
- Experience performing basic plumbing tasks (replace shower diverter, replace faucet, install freestanding tub etc.)
- Experience performing basic electrical tasks (add a light, replace an outlet, etc.)
- Experience & ability to speak to homeowners about changes or additions to scope
- Experience operating machinery or heavy equipment
