We are seeking an experienced Production Line Technician to join our team at Classic Packaging Company. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production of high-quality flexible packaging solutions.
About the Role
In this role, you will be working closely with our production team to maintain production levels, inspect products, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with your colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining production levels and product quality while operating machinery safely.
- Ensuring all machines' safety functions are checked at the start of each shift.
- Reading orders carefully to understand bag specifications and pack them accurately.
- Inspecting bags regularly to guarantee highest quality and matching order requirements.
- Conducting quality checks at each machine restart.
- Stacking boxes neatly on pallets, with assistance from mechanics when necessary.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors about machine or bag issues.
- Completing paperwork and computer entries accurately and efficiently.
- Keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Advising supervisors of needs or suggestions.
- Evaluating helpers' progress and training needs.
- Creating a positive work environment through encouragement and support.
- Complying with all safety requirements, including PPE use.
- Safely operating material moving equipment, such as forklifts and hoists.
