What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Classic Protective Coatings?
This career position will consist of working as part of a two-person Construction Accounting Team, with Team Duties as follows:
1. Perform all functions of the accounting process as needed (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, daily cash management, job costing) using Sage 300 CRE, WorkMax and Microsoft Office Software.
2. Work to help secure contracts by processing them in a FAST and efficient manner, including requesting bonds and insurance certificates. Develop and process payment requests and other documents as required by project contract and specification.
3. Reconcile vendor statements, invoices, and credit card statements in a timely manner to avoid late charges or interest. Input invoices into Sage in a timely manner and send out payments.
4. Process Payroll using WorkMax and Sage Software in a timely manner. Make all payroll tax payments to appropriate locations within the various due dates.
5. Distribute and collect employee benefit enrollment and change forms and process as required. Answer any employee questions regarding various benefit programs, assist as needed.
6. Coordinate and handle all financial and insurance audits with CPA firm and other auditors.
7. Complete any loan paperwork needed for equipment and vehicles. Keep insurance up to date on equipment and vehicles.
8. Coordinate all insurance renewals with agents in an efficient and timely manner.
9. Assist Owner occasionally in private banking, insurance and other matters as required.
10. Keep business licenses current by renewing on schedule, fill out new applications and process them as needed.

We use Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) as well as Sage 300 CRE, & WorkMax.
Pre-requisites:
1. Positive & team-oriented attitude.
2. 2 years of general accounting experience or 1 year of construction accounting experience.
3. A Degree in Accounting is a must.
4. A Degree in Business is a plus, but not required.
5. Fluency in Spanish is also a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
