What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector- 2nd shift position at Classic Rock Fabrication?

Shift : 2pm - 10pm
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards set by Classic Rock Fabrication. This role requires thorough inspections of products throughout the production process, with an emphasis on the final inspection before packaging and shipping. The Quality Inspector must work closely with the Operations Manager to address and resolve any quality concerns.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines set by Classic Rock Fabrication.
- Conduct random quality inspections during various stages of the production process.
- Inspect all finished products to ensure they meet quality standards prior to packaging and installation.
- Perform piece counts, verify color and material, measure dimensions, and check job-specific cuts to confirm accuracy.
- Report any quality issues to the Operations Manager and collaborate to find resolutions.
- Ensure proper handling and care of all products during inspection, loading, and packaging.
- Load completed jobs onto A-frames and secure them according to standard operating procedures.
- Prepare packing slips and package finished jobs when necessary.
- Mark orders as complete within the ERP system and make any necessary job edits.
- Ensure all additional required items are paired with finished jobs before shipment.
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and clean work area.
- Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes, to move materials.
- Obtain and maintain a forklift operator certification.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and Classic Rock's Core Values.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support Classic Rock's Vision and Mission.
