What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Machine Operator position at Classic Stoneworks?
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machines used in the production process
- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper functioning
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality control standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good working condition
- Package finished products for shipment or distribution
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar software for reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Knowledge of materials handling and warehouse procedures
- Ability to use hand tools for fabricating and assembling components
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
Note: Previous experience as a machine operator is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
