The level I Instructional Designer will work under the direct leadership of the Lead Instructional Designer in the Culture and Advocacy department, and will create, edit, and elocute content for employees, external communications, and national and government events using the Christian, classical ethos, and pedagogy of Classical Conversations. Job Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $42,000
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Remote (anywhere in the U.S.)
Qualification Requirements
To perform this role successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school education. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- 1-3 or more years of experience creating training content
- 1-3 or more years of homeschool experience with Classical Conversations and committed to homeschooling through high school
- Basic knowledge of classical Christian education
- Basic writing and editing skills
- Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software programs.
- Exceptional attention to details
- Has good interpersonal, listening, dialectic, and formal communication skills online and in person
- Enjoys learning how to use new technology
- Able to travel 2-3 weeks per year to contribute to select meetings, events, and to complete additional training

Training & Event Content
- With supervision, create and deliver engaging training & event content consistent with the classical, Christian ethos and pedagogy of Classical Conversations
- Create documents, PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, speeches, and other training materials
- Provide basic editing support to the team and ensure the quality, clarity, and consistency using the Christian, classical ethos, and pedagogy and brand standards of Classical Conversations. (The CC Way).
- With coaching and instruction, appropriately apply reviews to content
