The State Advocate is responsible for inspiring and equipping CC families in their local advocacy efforts to advance educational independence and religious liberty. The State Advocate will also represent CC families in state-level policy conversations and build strategic relationships with policymakers and organizations. This role collaborates with the Advocacy Team, identifies future leaders, and facilitates engagement opportunities to influence public policy.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must live in Texas
- Strong hospitable communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to identify and mentor future leaders
- Organized, responsive, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Knowledge of policy engagement and advocacy strategies
- Confidence in public speaking and facilitating discussions
- Capable of collaborating with sales teams, grassroots leaders, and policymakers
Essential Duties
- Function as a key connector between families, policymakers, and the Advocacy Team
- Build and nurture a network of relationships within their assigned state and across territories
- Keep the Advocacy Team informed on local policy, cultural trends, and key issues
- Represent CC families in state policy conversations and facilitates grassroots engagement
- Successfully organize events to cultivate virtuous citizens and strengthen advocacy impact
- Serve as an ambassador between CC families and the Advocacy Team
- Identify and develop relationships with policymakers, advocacy organizations, churches, and families
- Facilitate homeschool presence at the state capitol through events, testimony, and strategic conversations
- Speak on behalf of homeschool families at relevant opportunities to advance education independence
- Collaborate with the Advocacy Team to support campaigns, events, and marketing efforts
- Organize 2 educational events annually to promote civics education and policy awareness
- Lead monthly calls and mentor grassroots leaders within assigned territories
- Build relationships to strengthen networks within target states
