This position qualifies for a hire on bonus of $5000 with 1/2 paid with 1st check after hire and 1/2 paid with 1st check following 6-month probationary period.

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a full-time Rapid Access Clinician. As the Rapid Access Clinician, you will be responsible for providing clinic-based intervention and triage as part of the rapid access team with individuals that present to the drop-in clinic with mental health concerns. The Rapid Access Clinician position functions as part of an inter-disciplinary team and possesses flexibility to assist fellow team members to provide continuity and consistency of care to community members in need.
This position performs a variety of services as triaged with the Rapid Access Manager and the Mobile Crisis Team. You will assist in screening clients to determine if crisis assessment and safety planning is indicated. You will perform mental health assessments for individuals accessing initial care through the drop-in clinic, and crisis assessments for individuals presenting with high-risk symptoms. The Rapid Access Clinician will also complete some case management and care coordination when indicated; linking clients to supportive and sustainable community resources including housing, food scarcity, bridging care with primary care providers, accessing the Oregon Health Plan benefits, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform mental health crisis assessment and intervention services to community members and document these in accordance with agency standards.
- Perform full mental health assessments and substance use assessments as indicated.
- Coordinate care interagency and with community partners and stakeholders.
- Report critical incidents or alleged client abuses to the CBH Abuse Investigator or outside agencies as needed within 24 hrs.
- Provide risk assessment and determine appropriate level of care, with consideration of least restrictive option and community integration as a priority.
- Provide crisis services resulting in coordination of care for future treatment and document accordingly.
- Provide services that are tied to treatment plans if currently in place.
- Conduct Mental Status Examinations and make appropriate treatment recommendations and referrals.
- Help identify client’s natural support system and be able to work within that system as appropriate to facilitate crisis intervention.
- Consult and coordinate services with other community partners: Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, Primary Care Physicians, DHS, Senior & Disability Services, Courts, Community Action and Schools during crisis intervention to ensure adequate follow up.
- Responsible for obtaining Releases of Information (ROI) to be able to consult and coordinate with all other family/friends and identified community agencies/providers the client is involved with.
- Participate in regular team and agency meetings.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
- The ability to remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the agency.
- All CBH staff are mandatory abuse reporters per the State of Oregon, and as such all staff must be aware of and follow Mandatory Abuse Reporting policies.
- Continually increases level of cultural sensitivity, awareness and competency. Actively participates in training related to cultural effectiveness in working with diverse populations.
Requirements:

- Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university is required.
- Credentialing as a QMHP required.
- Required to have and maintain an Oregon or Washington Driver’s license and meet the agency’s insurance carrier’s insurance standards at the time of hire.
