This position qualifies for a hire on bonus of $1000. With $500 being paid on first check and $500 after 6 months of employment.
This position is on a 12 hour shift. This position is for the day shift 7am-7pm. Alternating 3-4 days/week.
Clatsop Behavioral HealthCare’s North Coast Crisis Respite Center (NCCRC) in Warrenton, Oregon is looking for a dedicated service provider to fill a full-time day shift position as Residential Support Specialist . Under the direction of the North Coast Crisis Respite Manager, the Residential Support Specialists work as a member of a team working to make a difference in the lives of persons with mental illness. This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals and ultimately making the leap to independence.
Day shift 7am-7pm
NOC shift 7pm-7am with $2.00 shift differential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and document service notes
- Provide case management and document progress.
- Encourage and motivate residents to engage in new experiences and accomplish personal goals
- Safely transport residents to appointments and community outings
- Ability to facilitate groups and work individually to skills train
- Ability to distribute and document medications accurately
- Cooking and cleaning
Requirements
- Ability to work any shift
- Valid Oregon or Washington Driver’s license or ability to obtain by date of hire
- Motor Vehicle Record clearance that meets agency insurance requirements
- Ability to pass DHS background check clearance
Preferred
- QMHA certification or ability to get a certification within 6 months of hire. QMHA certification must meet the following minimum qualifications:(a) Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field; or (b) A combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, training, or experience.3 years prior experience in same or similar field
- Some higher education or vocational training in related field
- Trauma informed care, behavioral health or mental health training or experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

12 paid holidays and PTO accrual at 6.77 hours per pay period and will increase after 3 years of employment. PTO accumulation starts at hire and is available for use as accumulated. CBH also offers sabbatical of 176 hours after 10 years of service.
