Clay Cooley Auto Group is looking for experienced, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable Accountants for our dealerships. These individuals must be proficient in principles and terminology of automotive/dealership accounting. It is essential to understand the significance of deadlines and the ability to apply the appropriate level of urgency to all tasks.
Accounts Payable
- Receives, reviews and processes vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Prepares and manages payment schedules with third-party payment processor.
- Reviews and reconciles vendor statements to ensure accounts remain current.
- Ensures that all expenses are approved by appropriate management levels.
- Issues checks for all requests processed by accounting.
- Gathers and maintains vendor files to ensure accurate tax information is on file.
- Processes 1099-NEC reports annually to IRS.
- Reviews and maintains assigned accounting schedules.
Employee Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma; College Degree a plus.
- 3-5 years dealership experience and extensive knowledge of accounting duties.
- Excellent computer skill levels (Internet and MS Outlook); Automotive DMS experience a MUST, Tekion preferred.
- Competence to manage in a high influx call/email environment and aptitude to transition from one task to another effectively and concisely.
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule to work full-time with varying extended hours during accounting cutoff periods.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
