Overview
We have an exciting IT career opportunity based in the Greenville, SC area. We are a growing, international manufacturing company founded in 1931. We seek a dynamic, motivated IT Network and Cybersecurity Engineer who can help us upgrade, secure and support IT infrastructure at existing sites and deploy greenfield IT infrastructure at newly built or acquired sites.
Hybrid role with 4 days onsite at Greenville, SC Office
Key Responsibilities
Lead WAN / LAN / VLAN site surveys and installations.
Deploy and maintain secure corporate and guest network capabilities at sites.
Investigate and resolve network / applications connectivity issues.
Deploy and maintain backups and related network resiliency.
Create and maintain network topology documentation.
Create and maintain knowledge base documentation for common network issues and resolution steps.
Lead cybersecurity improvements for all North America locations.
Assist and collaborate with the group’s cybersecurity team in Europe. You will be designated as the regional cybersecurity contact and responsible person.
Investigate and resolve any suspicious activities, reported incidents or security alerts.
Maintain and support cybersecurity solutions.
Assist with deskside support requests as assigned.
Deliver assigned tasks and projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Minimum education : associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
At least 2 years of experience as a network / cybersecurity engineer or related IT role.
Dynamic, proactive work ethic.
Deployment experience with the following : virtualized servers, SASE, EDR, VLAN, firewalls, PAM, NAC / conditional access.
Experience in cybersecurity investigation such as phishing, unusual sign-in, suspicious activities or any security alerts.
Experience working in a hybrid environment consisting of on-premise, co-location (private hosting), and IaaS (cloud) infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of routing technologies.
Expertise with Windows OS environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of server virtualization : VMware (vSphere) or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Demonstrated knowledge of backup technologies such as Datto and Veeam.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Specific experience with Meraki WAP and FortiGate Firewall deployments.
Specific experience with HPE, Aruba, Cisco switches.
Experience with 802.1x, EAP-TLS and secured authentication methods.
Expertise with Microsoft Entra and on-premise Active Directory (hybrid environment).
Experience with Microsoft IaaS capabilities.
Experience working in regulated environments (pharma / med device industries with 22 CFR, cGMP compliance).
Experience with deployment and maintenance of VOIP technology.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network , CWNA, CISSP, etc.
Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
