Job Summary :
Troubleshoots and maintains molds, practices predictive and preventative maintenance, proficiency with standard tool room equipment and maintains thorough and accurate tool maintenance records. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None
Duties / Responsibilities :
Maintains and repairs injection molds to support production and engineering requirements
Troubleshooting and maintenance of molds, trim dies, and fixtures
Manufactures and / or replaces tooling components with supervision and a high degree of accuracy and competency.
Maintains accurate mold history / records.
Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Working knowledge of mold making concepts, practices, and guidelines.
Successful completion of LOTO training.
Successful completion of required training in ToolingU and Routsis (training provided by company).
Blueprint interpretation
Basic math comprehension
Driven by process improvement and continuous improvement.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced production environment.
Ability to clean, polish and repair molds according to work Instructions.
Ability to make judgements and decisions based on company policies and procedures.
Ability to operate a forklift, hoist, and pallet jack.
Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience working with molds in an injection molding environment preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to stand entire shift (8 hrs.).
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and maintain dexterity when handling parts and components.
Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
