What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Civil Construction Surveyor position at Claystone Construction, Inc?
Claystone Construction, Inc is a growing Heavy Civil excavating company established in 2003. We are currently seeking a Field Surveyor to help our in house survey team build residential developments and Mine reclamation construction projects thru out the northern Colorado area. We have an extensive fleet of CAT equipment consisting of: 627 Scrapers, 40 Ton Haul Trucks, Dozers [Grade Controlled], Water Trucks, Agg Tractors, Motor Graders [Grade Controlled], Excavators, Loaders, Compactors, ETC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- 2 years experience using Trimble GPS
- Able to set construction stakes
- Gather information for monthly topos
- Able to transfer models from handheld to GPS equipment
- Able to read and understand plans
- Capable of accomplishing task independently without direct supervision
- Computer literate
- Strong work ethic with a focus on quality and safety
- Positive attitude and enjoy working in a team environment
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building models
- ability to fly a survey drone
