Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of financial records for our clients. Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks ProAdvisor).
- Prior experience in a CPA firm or similar professional services environment.
