The Safety & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining various safety and transportation compliance tasks and responsibilities. Primarily, the Safety & Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for owning and maintaining all transportation compliance onboarding practices for HouseSmart new hires in the field and Home Office. This role will also assist with safety projects, reporting, and overall team support functions.
Job Functions:

- Work closely with field and Home Office HouseSmart managers to assist new hires with coordinating new hire first day details for transportation compliance including, but not limited to, transportation TenStreet application support, driver-qualification documentation gathering support, and general transportation compliance questions.
- Partner with external vendors for new hire and existing team member materials such as PPE, uniforms, etc.
- Partner with internal teams to own and improve the existing onboarding experience including but not limited to our field leaders, Human Resources, Operations, etc.
Support the Safety & Compliance Team and Team Members with General Support
- Provide consistent and professional support to field and Home Office teams on various safety questions and functions including, but not limited to, policy questions, system logins, acquisition support activities, etc.
- Assist with the tracking and complete of various safety and compliance trainings, learning courses, training programs, etc.
- Provide reporting to Safety team and leadership to inform on safety training completion, field DVIR (daily vehicle inspection report) completion, GPS monitoring, authorized driver records, etc.
- Assist with the development and upkeep of an Inspections Scorecard, working closely with Safety leadership for vision and direction

Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Heath and Safety or related field preferred.
Years of Related Experience: 1 years of experience in managing fast-paced, professional workload required.
Licenses/Certifications (leave blank if not applicable): OSHA Certification or similar safety certification a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to stay organized and utilize time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both in written and oral communications.
- Excellent attention to detail when working through any requested task.
- Team player that is willing to learn and grow with the team.
- Reliable with strong attendance and work ethic.
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen, post-offer.
- Ability to work with and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to travel when necessary (less than or equal to 15% of total job function).
