As a Quality Advancement Specialist, you will play a vital role in implementing classroom-based assessments, support and provide quality improvement efforts in early childhood programs across the state and provide inter-rater reliability services. The position also provides local and statewide training and supports continuous reliability and certification of Environment Rating Scales (ERS) assessors on the rating scales, disseminates information from the ERS, Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS®), or other observational tools with integrity and accuracy. What we want you to do:
- Support managers in monitoring small projects and creates and updates departmental procedures
- Track and schedule certifications for the network of Quality Improvement Specialists across the state
- Collaborate across Clayton Departments and externally to develop content and aid in the review process and quality of trainings
- Maintain expertise by achieving and consistently maintaining anchor-level reliability on all ERS Rating Scales and undergoes reliability status checks by the ERSI team and periodic inter-rater reliability checks with other Clayton team members and/or managers
- Schedule observations and visits classrooms to observe, record detailed notes on scoresheets; reviews, discusses, and trains assessors and coaches on content based on the observation
- Establish strong networks and relationships with early childhood providers, councils, and other professional development providers across the state to enhance access for assessment
- Observe classroom or program assessments for infant through early elementary settings (including the Environment Rating Scales, Classroom Assessment Scoring System tools, and others)
What you must have:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, curriculum and instruction, or adult learning
- Mandatory Reporter Certification
- Experience: 3 years of experience in early childhood setting and 1-3 years of experience using Environment Rating Scales
- Skills: Pediatric first aid, CPR, experience working with kids, knowledge of child development principles
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including CBI/FBI fingerprinting. MVR and a national sex offender registry check
- Other: Ability to work flexible hours, Driver's license, bilingual preferred

Compensation:
- $60,000-$62,000 Annually
