Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading the recruitment, advising, and registration process for Rockdale County students. The Dual Enrollment Advisor manages day-to-day operations, maintains accurate data and site records, and serves as the primary contact for the Rockdale County CSU Instructional Site. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of enrollment management and recruitment best practices in higher education, particularly with first-year populations. The candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to student success and play a role in executing the University's Strategic Enrollment Plan, Recruitment, and Conversion initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Enrollment
Oversee daily operations of the Rockdale County CSU Instructional Site
Recruit, advise, and register potential and current dual-enrolled students
Work in concert with secondary partners to promote dual enrollment opportunities
Assist with matriculating dual-enrolled students into CSU freshmen
Develop and implement a communication plan and calendar of recruitment activities, including but not limited to recruitment events, fairs, and other opportunities to generate student leads for recruitment counselors.
Plan, schedule, travel, and present at information/recruitment sessions specific to Clayton State programs
Collaborate with other University departments such as admissions, student success, academic affairs, student affairs, IT, etc. to get students enrolled
Maintain student data and site records
Execute various reports
Remain cognizant of the finances for the site -
Outreach, Marketing, and Communication
Serve as primary contact for Rockdale County CSU Instructional Site
Serve as liaison between dual enrollment applicants and the admissions department
Establish professional relationships with key K-12 and technical system partnerships, including counselors, organizations, military and government agencies, etc., and attend high school meetings as deemed appropriate.
Assist with the creation and distribution of supplies & marketing materials -
Teamwork and Collaboration
Serve on University Committees
Assist with enrollment, marketing, and student success events (preview day, new student programs, etc.) and strategic plan sessions - Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor¿s Degree
- Two years of work experience after post-secondary education
- Knowledge of best practices, emerging trends in higher ed, and research regarding college recruitment best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and administrators in a variety of units at CSU, and with external constituents
- High standard of professionalism and work ethic
- Strong data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Dual Enrollment advisor experience
- Experience increasing yield rates for dual enrollment populations
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service
- One to three years of advising/registration experience in higher education or experience working in post-secondary education
- Ability to work autonomously
- Familiar with GADOE and USG High School Graduation Requirements
- Proficient in Banner, Microsoft Office suite, and CRM Systems (Metabase, Axiom, Salesforce, TargetX, Twilio, etc.) and other enrollment technology
- Experience working with a variety of students
