Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Retention and Care Specialist to join our team within the Division of Student Affairs. In this role, you will provide essential support to students facing academic, financial, and personal challenges, connecting them with campus resources to ensure their success. Responsibilities include outreach, monitoring retention data, case management, and collaboration with key campus departments to prioritize resources and programs for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- At-Risk Student Intervention and Monitoring: Coordinate outreach and follow-up for at-risk students, assist with reinstatement, and support students navigating registration challenges and financial barriers.
- CARE Team: Coordinate all aspects of the Crisis, Assessment, Response, and Education (CARE) Team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, researching students of concern, maintaining documentation, and evaluating operational efficiency.
- Sense of Belonging and Community Initiatives: Create and support initiatives that foster an inclusive campus environment and address barriers to student success, particularly for those facing challenges related to their identity.
- Student Affairs and Care Support Duties as Assigned: Assist with basic needs inquiries, general care concerns, and other student support services.
