What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Care Provider position at Clayton?
Nursing Care Delivery
The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients/residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This includes evaluating patients/residents, collecting data, observing conditions, and reporting changes in condition.
Care Planning
The LPN will contribute to nursing assessments and care planning, ensuring that each patient's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
Medication Administration
The Licensed Practical Nurse will administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders, following established protocols and guidelines.
Patient Safety
The LPN will supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and patients' rights are respected.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
- Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
- Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
