Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of various fabrication techniques and the ability to work with a range of tools and machinery. The Fabricator will ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with industry codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines to fabricate components.
- Measure and cut materials using micrometers and other measuring instruments to ensure precision.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products around the construction site.
- Assemble metal parts using welding techniques or fasteners as required by project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is a plus.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to fabrication processes is beneficial.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately is essential.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Previous experience working on construction sites is advantageous.
