Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Join Clean Harbors and Build with Passion! We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for our new Incineration unit. In this role, you will engage in hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC logic programming. You'll diagnose control circuitry issues and support the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
  • Troubleshoot instrument and control malfunctions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and calibrations.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
  • Install new system controls, including power wiring.
  • Install cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers.
  • Service and replace motors and lighting.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance and other assigned duties.

    • Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of combined plant experience and related education preferred.
  • Instrument and / or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician License required.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and electronic schematics.
  • Knowledgeable in process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • DOT Training preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based applications.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and 20 / 20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected).
  • Must pass a drug screen, background check, and physical examination.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not available).
