At Clean Harbors, we are seeking an Environmental Asset Specialist to join our team in Norwell, MA. This role is responsible for the overall lifecycle management of a specific group of assets used in our Service or Facilities operations.
Lifecycle Management Oversight
- Asset acquisition and justification: Evaluating the need for new assets and determining the best approach for acquiring them.
- Asset deployment: Coordinating the delivery and installation of new assets.
- Asset utilization: Ensuring that assets are being used effectively and efficiently.
- Maintenance scheduling: Designing and adhering to preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
- Asset disposition: Overseeing the disposal or sale of assets at the end of their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Influencing design and overseeing implementation of appropriate asset preventative maintenance cycles and repair programs to decrease maintenance costs and improve up time.
- Driving continuous improvement of asset performance through failure analysis, PM monitoring, condition monitoring, and other methods.
- Assisting corporate and regional management with life cycle positioning decisions and longer-term strategic placement and logistics issues.
- Evaluating asset requests and recommending best solutions considering all options.
- Effectively managing asset disposal, including agreements and bookkeeping responsibilities.
- Influencing and participating in the preparation and maintenance of statistical reports related to maintenance, repairs, utilization, depreciation, and financial performance.
- Oversseeing the purchasing and build process for new assets from start to finish.
- Ensuring adherence to goals and KPIs established for the specific asset class.
- Providing expert asset management advice to key Maintenance, Management, and Operations staff.
- Staying up-to-date on advances and technical developments within the asset categories of responsibility.
- Managing the Asset Management Workbench in database for his/her particular asset group.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree majoring in Engineering, Equipment Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in database management, project management, equipment operations, or facility management.
