Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Performing preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, troubleshooting, diagnosing failures & deficiencies & performing necessary corrections, including offsite road repairs/service calls;
- Completing daily checklists as required for proper operation of the unit being operated;
- Assuring units have daily maintenance duties performed and communicating any problems or issues with the unit immediately upon discovery;
- Completing and submitting all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules;
- Conducting Safety Checks & Annual Vehicle Inspections in accordance with provincial & federal laws;
- Assuring equipment is properly parked in compliance with facility permits and DOT requirements;
- Ensuring work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures;
- Maintaining a clean work environment;
- Performing other assignments as assigned by management;
- Understanding Clean Compliance Standards.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of diesel engine experience;
- Able to work in a team environment;
- Versed in all aspects (electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines, etc.);
- Demonstrates complete proficiency in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of heavy duty forklifts, roll-off trucks, forklifts, pick-up trucks, box trucks, tractors, and tankers;
- Demonstrates complete proficiency in tooling and equipment diagnostic, repair, and maintenance;
- Able to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.
