Job Description

We are a locally owned and operated independent small business providing control of insects and small rodents in and around structures. We are experiencing rapid expansion and we expect that trend to continue into the future. We take pride in serving our customers and creating long term relationships with them. We have a proven track record in both residential and commercial pest management. As a Pest Control Technician, you will be the face of the company. You will work independently and as part of a team to provide outstanding customer service to our clients. As a Pest Control Technician, you will be expected to:

  • Provide current customers with pest control services.
  • Perform pest inspections and give price estimates to commercial and residential customers.
  • Follow up on referrals to grow customer base.
  • Manage your own daily workload and schedule appointments with customers.
  • Arrive at appointments on time and prepared.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
  • Mix and apply products in accordance with label directions.
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate pesticide licenses as required.
  • Complete documenting paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work outside normal business hours during peak seasons. This may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

  • No direct experience is required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment. (Company paid)
  • Ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to safely access crawl spaces, roof tops, attics, etc.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. sometimes for extended periods of time.
  • Be willing to work outdoors in sometimes hot, humid conditions.
  • Be willing to work around stinging or biting pests.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA compliant respirator.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Basic math skills-add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, decimals and fractions.
  • Basic mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment in the shop and in the field.

  • Expect $40k earnings your first year.
