We’re Prompt Action Pest Control. We started nearly 35 years ago – just one guy and a truck doing Bat Control work. Over the years we built, expanded, and grew. Today we are market leaders who are DOMINATING the Western, Northern, and Central Wisconsin market with Every type of Pest Control Service. We’ve got over 16 staff, 11 trucks on the road, and over 20,000 happy customers served. And we help others, too – we’re strong supporters of the Wounded Warrior program, and our local churches.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Pest and Wildlife Technician
Summary:
Today is awesome! You showed up for work, loaded up the truck, and checked the FieldRoutes App for your service schedule for the day. You’ve got the education to understand what’s wrong… now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and put it into action. You arrive at customer’s house on time in your company truck, and introduce yourself to the homeowner. You work tirelessly and confidently to solve the pest and wildlife challenges the homeowner is experiencing. You wrap up the first project of the day and get ready to move on to the next house. You’re already looking forward to tomorrow!
Job Duties:
Work with the team: Communication is Key- with the office, the technician manager, and the customer.
Develop your expertise: You are able to study for and pass state certification testing, You are a quick learner and thinker. You keep up with industry best practices, and learn to know what a well-rounded IPM program looks like
Become a trusted professional: You keep your tools neat, clean, and well-maintained so they’re handy, ready for use, and safe. You’ll learn to prepare written materials (e.g. scope of work, work orders, bids, service notes, etc.) because you know that this keeps everyone informed – from the customer, to the technician, to the team back at the office. You are clean, neat, and well-groomed in appearance and you understand that safety is paramount
Job Requirements:
You love to learn: You have a high school diploma or equivalent. You don’t need experience to apply here but experience is preferred.
You’re a problem-solving people-person:You love the puzzle and adventure of understanding and completing the technical challenges you’re presented with every day. At the same time, you’re comfortable talking to a homeowner and professionally educating them on what their options are.
You’re ready to work: You have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record for the past three years, a ready-to-work attitude, and no problem handling the physical demands of the job – such as kneeling and crawling, balancing on a ladder, or working on tall, steep roofs. You’re capable of working in enclosed spaces or doing a significant amount of crawling and standing. (Hey, if this is a surprise to you then you probably shouldn’t be a pest control technician).

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
